For me it is all about adventure, magic; the unknown. Ever since I was a kid I have been a dreamer, longed for adventures, travelled and followed my heart and soul in most life decisions.
Hope, true friendship, my children and love gets me going in life - fuels my inspiration and upcoming adventures, big and small. And in times I cannot travel or indulge in real life adventure - what better than to travel into the endless worlds of books or create my own magic space upon empty pages?
In life, as in fiction, I like to “season” things with a tiny bit of magic (when possible), regardless if it´s about seeing the magic in what already surrounds us, what comes from within, or pure imagination. The reason I love fantasy and magic is that almost anything is possible, without being weird. With that said, I´d like to think I still have both feet on the ground ...
I have always known I wanted to write and share my stories with the world, but it wasn´t until my late thirties I started to write “for real”. In 2021 I had my first book release, and now I can´t imagine my life without writing.
Cecilia Johansson made her debut in 2021 with “Whispers of the Hidden Realm”, the first part of the fantasy trilogy, The Gatewound Saga, which was well-received by readers and critics alike. Continuing with the second part, “In the Wake of Myth”, 2022, and “The Fountain of Knowledge”, 2024, to make the trilogy complete. She has also written a YA paranormal novel, “Those who Rest in Silence”, in 2024.
